Flashback

Needed to do some more catch-up work here. I have pics from last Fall and the holidays here:

Looking alike as much as ever here, father and son... (taken 9/16/07 - 21mo old)

Cool shots of Andersen viewing the polar bears at the zoo. Not easy to catch the cubs in play-mode! (taken 10/20/07 - 22mo old)

Thanksgiving weekend. Drove out to Iowa with my parents to visit relatives. Met up with my brother, his fiancee, and an aunt and uncle visiting the "mainland" from Hawaii. We got to tour the nearby John Deere headquarter's Pavillion, a major showcase room with lots of tractor's on display! Guess who had the most fun?

Andersen's Birthday was a "tootin'" blast! Since he has shown such an affection for trains, more specifically Thomas and Friends, I decided to have a train themed birthday party for him. He has little friends who are just now getting the concept of a party, so we decided to invite them with their parents for a late snack of cake and punch.

After opening presents, we got all bundled up and set off for a train ride at a local Railroad Preservation that runs a small scale model diesel and steam engine around a 1/2 mile track. Their seasonal theme was of course, North Pole Express, so there were Christmas deocrations highlighted all around. It was bitterly cold as the train flew around the bare open lot, but it was fun nonetheless and Andersen loved seeing all those trains!
