The previous 2 Christmases weren't as exciting for Andersen as it was this past year. The first one he slept through, but who can blame him? He was only a few weeks old afterall. And then the next one he had only turned one year old, and so was still a bit oblivious to it all. At that stage in the game, he was content to watch us opening the boxes and letting him play with the ribbons. Now this year was MUUUUUUUUUUUCH better. We knew exactly what he'd love for presents, and boy did Santa sure load him up this year. Thomas, Thomas, Thomas, aaaaaaaaaaallllllll around. His joyous exclamations of "choo-choo!" and "Thomas!" were proof enough that this was a new level of appreciation he had for this time of year. But then again, he had had his fair amount of practice with his birthday earlier in the month (see previous post). He was now a pro at ripping open the gift wrap.
He also had a really good visit with dear ol' Santa Clause. Mr. C visits the company holiday party each year. The year before, he sat and stared at Santa. This year, he sat so solemnly, then as soon as the photographer took the pic and Santa cheered for him, wouldn't you know it, he gave Santa a sunny smile!
